They are many different types of software that can be used to achieve many of the mixing process. They aren't many CHEAP ones on the market. I would try to list some of these and from my exprience with some of them, you would be able to decide which one's are best for you.

I have never tried it (because it's on a mac.....) They have many different lines of software but the one that i'm interested in is Pandora. This software can be used to split a complete composite music signal up into its basic musical components . This can be very useful in remixing particular songs. Using the FFT filters aren't very effective when it comes to separating singals in any format . They work....., but when it come to a voice keep, it's a different "kettle of fish". COOLEDIT PRO & 96

CoolEdit product line is one of the cheapest line of music editing software there is that works. Cooledit Pro cost about $400 US (Which is EXPENSIVE..) but is the most complete....,compare to the other products that I know of this is very cheap.

What I do to get around the cost ..,I use cooledit 96 because it has some of the feature that cooledit pro has(if not most..). Cooledit cost about $50 dollars.

For the mixing I use Multiquence from Goldwave, which to me does a little bit more than the one in Cool-Edit Pro .

This program is a Multitrack sound editor, this is a must for Mixing sounds. They are other programs that can do the same thing, but the cost over $1000 .
